About:
COMMUNITY GARDEN of PINE RIDGE, coming soon! Organized by the Garden Club of Pine Ridge, we have started working with the city for a proposed Community Garden located in our neighborhood park! The flower and vegetable garden will increase access to fresh foods while also providing educational opportunities and promoting community engagement among our dear residents.
The Community Garden will be centrally located up at our park (1901 Piney Woods Lane). Starting with 8 raised (4’x8’’) raised garden beds residents will have the ability to grow, maintain and harvest the pre-planned garden beds throughout the season.
The community garden will be a great opportunity for community service hours, fundraising, additions for a food pantry or for the pure enjoyment of what gardening brings. Even better yet, being part of the planning committee provides coveted PDU hours for those seeking their PMP or APMP certifications. Contact Rachelle Ingram to inquire about these hours, (757) 646-3269.
To participate in the community garden’s planning, please join us at Rachelle Ingram’s home, 2285 Sandy Woods Lane.
